Voter Registration

Are you registered to vote?

If you are not registered and are at least eighteen (18) years of age and a United States citizen, you are eligible for voter registration.

If you have changed your residence, changed your name (i.e. by marriage), or changed your party affiliation, you are required to re-register in order to be eligible to vote.

Your vote DOES count in all elections!

Mail-in voter registration forms are available at Mt. Shasta City Hall, Local Post Offices, the local Library, the Department of Motor Vehicles and at the Siskiyou County Clerk's Office.

You may also get additional information regarding registering to vote from the Siskiyou County Clerk's Office website at www.co.siskiyou.ca.us.

Any registered voter may vote by mail. Voters may request vote-by-mail ballots by completing the request form from the back of their sample ballot and mailing it to the Registrar of Voters (Siskiyou County Clerk Coleen Setzer). It is not necessary to wait for your sample ballot to request a vote-by-mail ballot. A vote-by-mail ballot application can also be downloaded via the Siskiyou County Clerk's Office website at www.co.siskiyou.ca.us. Voting by mail is easy and convenient and there is no waiting in lines on Election Day!

Please contact the City of Mt. Shasta's City Clerk's Office for a Voter Registration card today.

For further information on any of the information listed above, please contact the Siskiyou County Clerk's office by phone at (530) 842-8084 or www.co.siskiyou.ca.us.
