Mail-in voter registration forms are available at Mt. Shasta City Hall, Local Post Offices, Local Libraries, the Department of Motor Vehicles and at the Siskiyou County Clerk's Office.

What is the Deadline For Submission Of Registration Papers Prior To An Election In Order To Qualify To Vote?
The deadline for registering for an election is 15 days prior to the election date.
How Many Registered Voters are there in the City of Mt. Shasta?
There were 2,007 Registered Voters in the City of Mt. Shasta as of the June 7, 2011 Special Election.
How Do I Run For Public Office?
General Municipal Elections are held every two years, and the next General Election is scheduled for November 6, 2012.
Candidates for local office must be citizens of the United States, registered voters, must live within the Mt. Shasta city limits, and be 18 years of age or older.
Citizens interested in becoming City Council, City Clerk, or City Treasurer candidates will need to obtain nomination papers from the City Clerk or Siskiyou County Clerk. For more information contact the City Clerk by phone (530) 926-7510.
When Is The Next Election?
The next General Municipal Election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Elections are usually scheduled every two years unless a Special Election is called for specific issues.
