The deadline for registering for an election is 15 days prior to the election date.

There were 2,138 Registered Voters in the City of Mt. Shasta as of the May 19, 2009 Special Election.
How Do I Run For Public Office?
General Municipal Elections are held every two years, and the next General Election is scheduled for November 2, 2010.
Candidates for local office must be citizens of the United States, registered voters, must live within the Mt. Shasta city limits, and be 18 years of age or older.
